Polypropylene Labels

Tough, versatile labels that stand up to demanding conditions

When you need labels that can handle moisture, chemicals, abrasion and extreme temperatures, polypropylene (PP) labels are the answer. At Kingfisher Labels, we offer a wide range of PP films and adhesives to create durable, waterproof labels that perform beautifully in even the harshest environments. Polypropylene is also a popular choice for cosmetic and beverage labelling, and the same films give you the no-label look on our Clear & Transparent Labels.

Polypropylene Labels

What are polypropylene labels?

Polypropylene (PP) labels are made from a synthetic thermoplastic polymer known for its strength, flexibility, and resistance to a wide range of chemicals and environmental factors.

They’re waterproof, tearproof, and highly durable, making them ideal for products that must withstand demanding conditions.

PP labels are available in transparent, white, and metallised finishes and can be printed using a variety of techniques to create eye‑catching designs that last.

Because it shrugs off moisture and handling, polypropylene is our usual choice for Pharmaceutical Labels and for Food Packaging Labels that move between chilled and ambient temperatures.

Why choose polypropylene labels?

Exceptional durability and resistance

PP labels are virtually indestructible. They resist water, oils, solvents, acids, alkalis and other chemicals, as well as abrasion, tearing and UV light. This makes them ideal for products exposed to harsh conditions during manufacturing, shipping, storage, or use.

Waterproof and weatherproof performance

PP labels are completely waterproof, making them ideal for products stored in damp or humid environments or likely to come into contact with water or other liquids. They also withstand temperature extremes, making them suitable for both hot and cold applications.

Versatile and comfortable

PP labels are flexible and conformable, making them easy to apply to a wide range of surfaces, including curved, textured and irregular shapes. They also offer excellent adhesion, ensuring your labels stay in place, even on challenging substrates.

High‑quality print results

PP labels offer a smooth, consistent surface for printing sharp text, vibrant colours and detailed graphics. They work well with both digital and flexographic printing, giving you flexibility over run lengths and design complexity.

Recyclable options available

While PP is a plastic, it is recyclable in many areas. We offer PP label stocks designed for recycling with the container, helping you reduce your environmental footprint and meet growing consumer demand for sustainable packaging.

What can you use polypropylene labels for?

Chemical drums and containers requiring resistance to solvents and acids

Cosmetic and personal care products exposed to water and oils

Household and cleaning products need durable, wipeable labels

Pharmaceutical and healthcare products requiring tamper‑evidence and legibility

Outdoor equipment and horticultural products exposed to sun, rain and wind

Food and beverage packaging needs moisture resistance and freezer‑grade adhesives

Industrial and automotive components requiring long‑term identification

Cost‑effective PP label solutions

We understand that budget is a key consideration. PP labels offer an excellent balance of performance and price, and we work with you to optimise material selection, layout, and printing methods to get the most from your budget. By combining efficient digital printing for shorter runs and flexographic printing for longer runs, we can keep unit costs low while maintaining consistently high quality.

The polypropylene label printing process

Project consultation and material selection

We start by understanding your product, packaging and performance requirements. From there, we’ll recommend suitable PP films, adhesives and finishes and advise on the most efficient print method for your run size.

Artwork preparation and proofing

You can supply press‑ready artwork, or our in‑house team can help you create or refine your design. We’ll check your files, advise on any adjustments for the chosen material and provide a digital proof – and physical samples where required – before we go to print.

Printing and finishing

Once approved, we print your PP labels using our state‑of‑the‑art presses, then apply any selected varnishes, laminates or special effects. Labels are then die‑cut, stripped and wound to your preferred roll size or sheet format, ready for hand or machine application.

Quality control and delivery

Every batch of labels is checked for colour accuracy, registration, adhesion and finishing quality before it leaves our factory. We then carefully pack and ship your labels so they arrive on time and in perfect condition.
