Just a month in, 2023 is already looking like it’s going to be very exciting for Kingfisher Labels.
We’re fresh from a year filled with growth (of our technology and our team) and award wins, and we’re ready to keep raising the bar with our high-quality self-adhesive labels and best-in-class labelling technology.
Our performance in 2022 was impressive. Even against a backdrop of supply chain challenges and an ongoing pandemic, we continued to succeed, achieve and thrive. We improved our efficiency, gained new clients across the UK, and increased our turnover by 50% – all while reducing overheads!
But as we get into the swing of things in 2023? We’re certainly not content to rest on our laurels.
This will be a year of further investment and business growth for Kingfisher, all done with sustainability and customer satisfaction front of mind.
We’re steadfast in our commitment to becoming a market leader in the world of high-quality labels, and we have many plans for the next 12 months that will bring us closer and closer to this goal. Here’s a look into just a few of our areas of focus for the year ahead…
Investing in Our Operations
Investing in our second Edale FL1 Prime Press was just the start. Our operations are more efficient than ever, and we’ve expanded our design capabilities, but we won’t stop there.
We have ambitions to diversify and offer even more sustainable labelling products to our valued customers in future. Across 2023, we’ll invest in more label printing machinery and capital equipment to further our growth and make that diversification possible. We’re even eyeing up a new base of operations that will give us more space to realise our goals!
2023 is also likely to bring some new faces to Kingfisher. The team welcomed three new people in 2022, and we’ve enormously valued their knowledge and enthusiasm. Along with our more established team members, they were a huge part of driving improvements across the business.
Now, we’re looking to expand our capacity and expertise even more with several new hires. Watch this space…
Levelling Up Our Wonderful Workforce
In addition to exploring how we can welcome new employees to the Kingfisher family, we’ll be looking at how we can level up the skills of our existing workforce this year.
Some of our precious team members have been with us for over a decade (or more), know their stuff extremely well, and embody our high service standards. But there’s always more to learn! To ensure we remain at the cutting edge of labelling technology, we’ll be offering training opportunities to the team as often as possible.
We’ll evaluate the market and identify areas for further development over 2023, and we’ll make training available wherever we feel it would be beneficial. We recognise the importance of offering our people opportunities to develop their skills and grow with the business, and we’d love to continue upskilling our workforce as we welcome new recruits.

We’re incredibly optimistic that our savvy investments (alongside the fantastic Kingfisher team) have laid the foundations for a prosperous year of growth. From our award-winning Moor Beer labels to our sustainable, innovative Day Dot Rotation labels, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve produced, and we’re very much ready for more.
